Jimmy Dore’s Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez obsession: “liar,” “gaslighter,” “and fuck anybody who is protecting her”
YouTube has allowed conspiracy theorist Jimmy Dore to launch endless, aggressively angry, misinformation-filled attacks against Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for over two months.
Multiple videos feature outlandish and misleading headlines: “AOC Schooled By NFL’s Justin Jackson On Forcing Medicare4All Vote Now!,” “AOC Deletes Tweet — Betrays Her Own Campaign Promises #FraudSquad,” “Jimmy Trending Because AOC Against Fighting for Medicare For All,” “AOC’s False Accusations Against #ForceTheVote Activists,” “AOC Makes The Case For #ForceTheVote,” “AOC Wanted PELOSI Replaced — What Changed?” and one simply titled “#FraudSquad.”
In a November YouTube video, Dore declared that “the progressives you elected to the Democratic party have already sold you out. You fucking morons, they’ve already sold you out in the biggest way they could possibly do.”
“I know you still don’t fucking know what The CARES Act is, or what was in it, and why it got passed,” Dore continued. “And why Nancy Pelosi and AOC demanded that the rest of the squad vote for it and they did.”
This is false! Ocasio-Cortez didn’t vote for The CARES Act, but it has been a lie that Dore has been repeating for more than a few months.
On November 27, Dore announced a naive plan to push a floor vote for Medicare For All, laying the groundwork for the coming harassment against Ocasio-Cortez.
And on December 2, the propaganda YouTube channel “Status Coup” hosted Dore to reiterate his now-failed idea, for progressives, to withhold their vote for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker (who was again voted Speaker by progressives and democrats, albeit by a razor-thin margin) if she didn’t put Medicare For All (which isn’t as popular as the Public Option) up for a vote.

Dore dedicated a 24 minute segment on December 12 to smearing Ocasio-Cortez as “a bullshit Twitter warrior,” lying that she voted for The CARES Act, and admitting his plan can be used “against her.” I noted that she was the only Democrat to vote against the Cares Act, and Dore has lied that she voted for it many times. During Kate Halper’s livestream, Jimmy Dore shouted down Matt Stoller for not agreeing with him on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, again misinforming that she voted for The CARES Act: “Fucking egghead nerd! I don’t give a fuck about your committee shit! Nobody voted for her for a fucking committee! Why don’t you stop saying that stupid shit!” [12/15/20]
Dore posted a video of himself having a misogynistic meltdown on Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to his YouTube channel, and lied that she voted for The CARES Act: “Fuck you! You already voted for The CARES Act! Fuck you, and fuck anybody who is protecting her! Fuck you!” [12/16/20]
On the same broadcast, he used violent, misogynistic rhetoric against the congresswoman: “You are broken, we gotta lay on you as hard as we can everyone knows you got your start on my show everyone knows what you are now go on twitter and give it to her we’re gonna fuckin’ haunt you, oh, we’re gonna make it harder on you AOC.”
Additionally, Dore said that “she has it coming,” “everyone knows you got your start on my show,” “everyone knows what you are now,” and falsely reported that Ocasio-Cortez has a cozy deal on paid speeches.
Dore invoked Ocasio-Cortez in a YouTube livestream on mercenary propaganda outlet The Grayzone, lamenting that “everyone is coming at me, somehow that’s misogynist that I’m yelling in my garage, at politicians, to pass Medicare For All…Webcam doesn’t have feelings. I’m yelling into a webcam in my garage. I’m not at AOC’s office in her face, or at her house.” [12/19/20]
Dore called Ocasio-Cortez a “cocktail because she twists herself into a cocktail pretzel coming up with these bullshit excuses,” a reference to her not going along with the Force The Vote idea. [12/19/20]
At one point Syria gas attack denier Aaron Maté questioned Dore’s false claim that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez voted for The CARES Act. “Did I misspeak?” Dore asked. [12/19/20]
Amid the Force The Vote town hall after-party, Jimmy Dore falsely alleged that Ocasio-Cortez, and the squad are “the people standing between us and healthcare.” [12/30/20]
Dore told his alt-right and dirtbag left fans to call Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, Barbara Lee, Chuy Garcia, and Cori Bush to express disappointment for not forcing the vote. [12/31/20]
Dore said a series of delusional statements to slander Ocasio-Cortez, the day before the congresswoman voted for Nancy Pelosi: “You’re selling out, you’re abandoning your own campaign promises. That’s called a sell out, and that’s what AOC is doing, and she’s gonna look in a camera tomorrow and say I’m voting for Nancy Pelosi without getting you healthcare!” [1/2/21]
Dore plays a video of Robert Deniro saying ‘fuck Trump,’ and airs Bill Maher’s misogynistic comments to “prove” his comments against Alexandria-Ocasio Cortez aren’t violence. [1/2/21]
On Katie Halper’s livestream, Dore brings up Ocasio-Cortez to advance his serial lie that she voted for The CARES Act. He also apologizes to Ben Spielberg for losing his temper on him, and for broadcasting misinformation that Ocasio-Cortez voted for The Patriot Act. [1/4/21]
Dore demonstrated his laser focus on Ocasio-Cortez by launching a violent attack against her: “How do you sleep at night knowing this woman’s out there! How the fuck do you do that! […] They should have got everything David Sirota said on our show!” [1/5/21]
